MORAINE, Ohio, Aug. 17, 2026 — Building Composites LLC, an innovator in structural composite exterior building enclosure systems, today announced that HyperWall™ has been named a finalist in the market growth category of the 2026 Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE), presented by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA).

HyperWall was selected as a finalist for The Hannah Henry Market Application of Sustainable Composites award, which honors the legacy of Hannah Henry and her lasting contributions to advancing sustainability within the composites industry. The award recognizes innovative products and applications that demonstrate sustainability while helping expand the use of composite materials in the marketplace.

The company’s flagship product, HyperWall, is a prefabricated panel system that combines structure, all four control layers and exterior finish into a single, monolithic panel. Made of an advanced structural composite and designed for commercial and residential applications, the HyperWall system offers several sustainability advantages over traditional precast concrete and metal panel building skins, including:

  • Reduced embodied carbon: In addition to delivering lifecycle energy savings, the HyperWall system has the potential to reduce the embodied carbon of the building enclosure panels by at least 50% compared to conventional alternatives.
  • Lower transportation emissions: At 20%-33% of the weight of precast panels, HyperWall panels require fewer truckloads to transport, reducing fuel consumption and associated emissions.
  • Faster building enclosure: Its lightweight design has the added benefit of accelerating installation times, which can reduce the time it takes to close buildings by as much as 50%.

The sustainability and performance benefits of HyperWall will be on display at the new headquarters of HITT Contracting, a top national commercial construction firm, in Falls Church, Virginia. The project incorporates 344 HyperWall panels as part of the building’s exterior envelope.

“HyperWall being named a finalist for this award is a meaningful recognition of the work our team has done to bring a more sustainable building enclosure solution to market,” said Andy Loff, CEO at Building Composites. “Our contribution to the HITT headquarters demonstrates the real-world impact the HyperWall system can have by supporting a more sustainable approach to construction while providing the design flexibility architects and owners appreciate.”

The ACE awards are presented annually by ACMA to recognize the technologies and innovations shaping the future of the composites industry. Six winners will be announced during CAMX 2026, North America’s largest composites and advanced materials event, taking place Sept. 21-24 in Atlanta.
